For the launch of the Embodied Knowledge project, artist Zoë Zo, Zoë Tumika and Zoë Guthrie was invited to think about the idea of creating a vessel to hold space for what is to come, what has come — taking shape slowly, holding and evidencing a presence through finger pinching and texture.
Newly commissioned artworks created from wayward conversations will be added as the project progresses across multiple formats, including writing, workshops, sculpture and sound. The website encourages public study and new forms of collaborating and sharing.

Zoë Zo, Zoë Tumika and Zoë Guthrie is an artist from and based in Glasgow. They think, imagine and make with conversation; patterns; clay; gut listening; lettering; pens (no pencil) and feeling. Slowly chewing on pasts. Often feeling the present as hot and burning.
Alongside making, Zoë has a producing practice and is currently working with Mele Broomes on the development of Body Remedy, a Black-led organisation centring radical self-care. They were also on the committee of Transmission Gallery, an artist-led space in Glasgow, from 2019 to 2021.
We’re delighted to share the recording of Art Late 2, with Rhubaba committee member Khadea Kuchenmeister in conversation with Dr. Sequoia Barnes and Zoë Zo, Zoë Tumika and Zoë Guthrie.
Featuring the ceramic sculpture commissioned for the launch of Embodied Knowledge, and our selected reading material in Palm House, at Johnston Terrace Wildlife Garden, Edinburgh.
